Package reviewed UI issues with related media
A downloadable handoff that deserves the same privacy review as the source recording.
A media handoff needs an audience check
A developer handoff can require more than a list of issue titles. Related media helps explain an observed state, while the issue description provides the expected result. Retick offers a ZIP export for selected findings and related media. Before distribution, inspect what the archive actually contains and make sure the recipient is authorized to receive that evidence outside the review application.
Review the evidence before packaging
Prepare safe source evidence
Use test data in screenshots and recordings whenever possible. Before upload, remove private customer details, access tokens, or unrelated tabs. Packaging is not a redaction step, and a description that omits a secret does not remove it from the underlying video. Follow your organization's review and retention rules for the media itself.
Review the selected issues
Compare candidate findings with their evidence and add the missing environment and expected outcome. For a document-list layout bug, identify the relevant state and filename conditions without using confidential documents. Export the coherent issue selection your reviewer accepts. Do not package every observation automatically just because the recording generated several candidate findings.
Download and inspect the archive
Choose ZIP in the export flow and review the preview before downloading. Open the resulting archive in an appropriate local tool. Check the issue descriptions, related files, and available media for the handoff you intended. Do not assume the archive includes every workspace artifact, all historical versions, or a complete offline copy of the application.
Distribute and verify deliberately
Send the archive through an approved channel to authorized recipients. Once downloaded, a file can be copied independently of Retick sharing settings, so apply your normal document-handling controls. Ask the receiving developer to confirm that the report and evidence are understandable. Use a fresh capture and direct testing to verify a fix; packaging alone establishes neither receipt nor completion.
A deliberate issue-and-media package
Evidence with explanation
Hand over reviewed issue context alongside related media rather than expecting filenames or screenshots to convey the complete problem.
Inspectable delivery
Check the actual package before distributing it and catch missing context or unsuitable evidence while you still control the handoff.
Clear confidentiality boundary
Treat a downloaded archive as a separate copy of review material with its own audience, storage location, and retention responsibilities.
ZIP export questions
Does ZIP export redact private data?▼
Do not assume it does. Remove sensitive information before capture and inspect the package under your organization's confidentiality policy.
Is this a full workspace backup?▼
No. This is a selected issue-and-media export, not a complete backup or a promised restore format for the application.
Can revoking a share link remove a downloaded ZIP?▼
A recipient can retain downloaded files independently. Use appropriate recipients and handling rules before distribution.
