Export reviewed UI findings as Markdown
A readable file handoff when you do not need a direct tracker connection.
A file handoff without an integration claim
Teams often need useful issue descriptions outside the review application without connecting another service. Markdown can provide a readable starting point for a manual handoff. Retick offers a Markdown file export for selected issues. A person still chooses where to put the resulting text and checks whether that destination preserves the formatting and permits any included evidence links.
Prepare readable issue text
Review the source findings
Analyze a supported screenshot or recording, then inspect each issue against its evidence. For a search-result empty state, name the query conditions, visible message, and expected next action. Correct speculative technical explanations and add missing setup manually. Exported text should describe what your team actually observed rather than making a generated draft sound independently verified.
Define a useful issue boundary
Separate an unclear empty-state message from a request for new search functionality. Have the content owner approve wording and the product owner confirm intended behavior. Include acceptance criteria that someone can evaluate on the updated build. Markdown is a format choice, not a way to resolve open product questions or decide which work deserves priority.
Choose Markdown and inspect the preview
Select the reviewed issues in the export flow and choose Markdown. Read the preview before downloading. Check the resulting file in your preferred editor, including headings, descriptions, and available evidence references. Do not assume an arbitrary destination will render every element identically or automatically retrieve linked media just because it accepts Markdown text.
Complete the handoff manually
Paste or attach the reviewed output where your team works. Confirm the recipient can access the material and handle any required tracker fields yourself. Sharing evidence links can grant access to media, so follow the same confidentiality checks as the original review. There is no automatic destination synchronization or confirmation that the recipient has accepted the task.
A deliberate Markdown snapshot
Readable outside the review
Use a text-based document that a developer can inspect without treating a screenshot attachment as the entire specification.
No implied connection
Download a file without claiming an integration with every editor or tracker that might accept its contents.
Editable handoff
Adapt the reviewed text to your team's conventions while preserving the distinction between observed behavior and unconfirmed assumptions.
Markdown export questions
Does Markdown export create tracker tasks?▼
No. It downloads issue content. Create or update destination tasks manually unless you separately use a supported connection.
Does the file update when findings change?▼
No. Treat the download as a snapshot. Review and export again if you need a newer handoff.
Can I send evidence references anywhere?▼
Check confidentiality and recipient access first. Links can grant access to source media and may not be appropriate for public documents.
