Readiness review for UI work
Check UI issue readiness before committing engineering capacity
Separate a well-written description from a finding that has enough evidence and decisions for implementation.

Better inputs to engineering planning
Visible readiness gaps
Identify missing reproduction conditions and unresolved product questions before committing work to a delivery plan.
A bounded acceptance target
Agree on the user outcome without letting adjacent feature requests expand the issue silently.
Engineering-owned planning
Use reviewed evidence as an input while retaining responsibility for estimates, dependencies, testing, and acceptance.
Readiness is a decision, not a generated label
An issue can look polished while lacking reproduction conditions or an approved expected result. Before planning, ask what is known, what remains a hypothesis, and who can answer the missing questions. A visually apparent defect may still require design input or backend investigation. Do not equate the existence of a ticket with readiness to commit engineering capacity.
Inspect the decisive evidence
Use Retick to review a supported recording or screenshot from a defined build. For an invitation action with no clear completion state, check whether the recording shows the action and result. Add account and environment details manually. A missing confirmation does not prove that an email failed to send, so collect delivery evidence independently if the report makes that claim.
Bound the implementation question
Ask product to approve the intended confirmation and next action. Keep a new request for invitation reminders outside the existing UI correction unless the team explicitly agrees otherwise. Review the issue description and selected export before sending work to Trello or downloading a file. Ownership, dependencies, estimation, and scheduling remain decisions in your engineering planning process.
Require verification after delivery
Repeat the accepted scenario on the build intended for review and record remaining conditions. Use code review and appropriate tests to assess technical correctness. Retick does not estimate effort reliably for your codebase, inspect dependencies, certify test coverage, or guarantee delivery dates. Media evidence can sharpen the planning conversation, but it does not replace engineering judgment or the team's acceptance gate.
Check the next UI handoff for readiness
Bring the evidence and name the unresolved decisions.
