Download reviewed UI feedback as CSV
Bring a reviewed issue snapshot into a spreadsheet process without promising a live data connection.
Useful rows need reviewed decisions
A spreadsheet can be useful for a release meeting, but manually typed rows often lose the distinction between a visible defect and an unresolved suggestion. Retick's CSV export provides a file-based handoff from reviewed findings. The receiving team remains responsible for importing the file, interpreting its columns, adding planning information, and keeping later changes consistent with their own records.
Prepare a CSV handoff
Choose an agreed set of findings
Start with supported media from a defined review, such as a release check of the account settings area. Verify descriptions and remove outdated or speculative observations. Keep one coherent change per issue where practical. A spreadsheet row should represent a decision your team understands, not merely every candidate finding generated during media processing.
Check descriptions before export
Add missing environment details and acceptance criteria in the review. Distinguish a save failure from unclear confirmation copy. Avoid inserting sensitive account values into issue text. Agree on priority through your normal planning process; a CSV download does not calculate business impact or prove that a finding is more urgent than other release work.
Download and inspect the CSV
Select CSV in the export flow and inspect the preview before downloading. Open the file in a tool appropriate for your organization and check column interpretation, punctuation, multiline descriptions, and available references. Treat text cells as untrusted content under your spreadsheet security policy, especially if the original review contains text supplied by other people.
Reconcile the spreadsheet deliberately
Import the file manually, then add ownership and meeting decisions as your process requires. Check existing rows before creating duplicate work. Keep track of which review and export the snapshot represents. Edits to the spreadsheet do not automatically update Retick, and later review changes do not refresh a downloaded CSV. Reconcile and re-export when an updated snapshot is needed.
An honest spreadsheet snapshot
A reviewed starting point
Base spreadsheet discussion on findings someone has checked against source evidence rather than copying a raw stream of comments.
Familiar planning context
Use the file in your existing spreadsheet process while keeping custom columns and team conventions under your own control.
Explicit snapshot boundaries
Know which set of reviewed findings was handed off without implying live synchronization or automatic reconciliation of later edits.
CSV export questions
Can I import my existing spreadsheet into Retick?▼
This page describes CSV export, not spreadsheet ingestion. Transfer relevant context manually and capture current UI evidence for review.
Will formulas and custom columns be preserved?▼
The download contains exported issue data, not a replica of an existing workbook. Manage formulas and custom planning columns yourself.
Does CSV provide live issue reporting?▼
No. A downloaded file is a snapshot. Review later changes and reconcile the records manually.
