Product decisions grounded in UI evidence

Give product feedback a clear decision boundary

Separate observed defects, open questions, and new ideas before feedback becomes implementation scope.

From observation to approved work

Explicit product decisions

Make approved behavior distinguishable from suggestions that still need discovery or stakeholder agreement.

Evidence-aware descriptions

Check which part of the claimed failure the screenshot or recording actually demonstrates.

Reviewable acceptance

Give the delivery team an observable outcome without outsourcing priority or final approval to generated findings.

Start with the product question

A walkthrough can mix a broken save action, confusing terminology, and a proposal for a new reporting area. Those observations need different decisions. Before capture, identify the journey and state which behavior is already agreed. A request to improve settings is not enough context for either a reviewer or an engineer. Name the user, task, and outcome under discussion.

Review the visible evidence

Capture a screenshot or recording of the implemented interface using safe sample data, then inspect the findings in Retick. For a notification preference that reverts, check whether the recording actually shows saving and returning to settings. Add the build, role, and reproduction details manually. Ask engineering to investigate persistence rather than presenting a visual symptom as a database diagnosis.

Approve one observable outcome

A useful issue says that an approved preference remains selected after saving and reopening the page. Keep that defect separate from a request to reorganize the settings navigation. Decide priority using your customer and delivery evidence, not the apparent confidence of generated wording. Review the selected findings before exporting to a connected Trello destination or downloading a file for a manual handoff.

Close the decision loop

After implementation, repeat the relevant scenario on the intended build. Record which criteria were checked and who accepted the outcome. Retick supports media review; it does not establish product demand, measure customer impact, or decide your roadmap. Keep unresolved questions visible rather than letting an exported task imply a decision nobody made.

Review the next product decision in context

Bring a focused screenshot or walkthrough.
