Staging-site acceptance review

Make a staging-site review useful before client handoff

Keep launch acceptance grounded in named pages, visible states, and confirmed project scope.

Clearer launch review boundaries

Named review coverage

State which journeys were captured so a staging walkthrough does not imply a complete site audit.

Scoped launch fixes

Separate an existing acceptance issue from a new client request that needs planning and approval.

Verifiable handoff

Confirm the repaired state on the intended release while checking backend delivery and configuration independently.

Define the launch review boundary

A staging website can attract feedback about missing content, broken interactions, and entirely new sections at the same time. List the journeys under review and identify the staging build before capture. Separate launch acceptance from later enhancements. A walkthrough of the contact form does not establish the correctness of the entire site or every integration behind it.

Capture representative page states

Record the contact journey from initial form through visible confirmation, or capture a screenshot when the concern is a static layout. Use test submissions that your client permits. Bring the supported media into Retick and check the extracted findings. A visible success message does not prove that an email reached the intended inbox; verify delivery separately rather than writing an unsupported integration claim.

Give each launch fix an outcome

For a clipped required-field message, identify the field, viewport, and input state. Acceptance criteria should explain that the complete instruction remains readable and the user can correct the input. Keep a request for a new lead-routing workflow outside that visual repair. Review chosen findings before exporting to Trello or downloading a file for your normal project handoff.

Check the intended release directly

Repeat the relevant journeys after changes and confirm which environment the client is reviewing. Record unresolved content or configuration work separately. Retick reviews supplied media; it does not crawl every page, submit forms automatically, verify analytics installation, or certify that a website is ready to launch. Use your agency's functional, content, accessibility, and release checks for those responsibilities.

Review the staging journey that matters

Capture the current build and define the expected result.
