Role-aware SaaS interface review
Review SaaS settings without guessing at account permissions
Make role-dependent interface findings understandable without confusing visual review with permission testing.

Clearer settings review boundaries
Role-aware context
Name the tested account conditions so a reviewer can find the same version of the settings interface.
Clearer explanatory copy
Align approved instructions with confirmed product policy instead of inferring permissions from a screenshot.
Separate testing responsibilities
Keep authorization verification with engineering while using media evidence to explain the reported UI concern.
Name the account state and role
A settings page can look different to an owner, administrator, and ordinary member. Before capture, identify the role and the setting under review using a permitted test account. State the intended action, such as changing a workspace notification preference. Do not assume that a control's appearance establishes whether the underlying permission enforcement is correct.
Capture the relevant transition
Record the selected value, save action, and visible result, or use a screenshot when the concern is the explanatory text itself. Bring supported media into Retick and compare the candidate findings with the evidence. A disabled control might be intentional. Ask the product owner to confirm expected role behavior, and add the tested build and relevant account conditions manually.
Keep copy and permission questions distinct
An issue could say that the member-facing explanation suggests a setting is editable when it is not. Have the responsible owner approve wording that matches the actual policy. A separate suspicion about unauthorized changes needs direct technical testing rather than a visual conclusion. Review the approved UI issue before exporting selected work to Trello or downloading a file for the receiving team.
Verify the accepted state directly
Check the repaired explanation and interaction under the reported role, then test other relevant roles through your normal QA process. Record untested states explicitly. Retick analyzes supplied media; it does not audit authorization rules, validate tenant isolation, or certify SaaS security. Use appropriate engineering and security checks for those claims while keeping the visual review focused on the experience the evidence actually shows.
