Evidence-led localized layout review
Give localized UI layout feedback the context it needs
Separate a visible layout constraint from translation decisions that need a qualified language owner.

More precise international UI reports
Explicit locale context
Keep the locale and viewport beside the evidence so another reviewer can find the affected state.
Approved text boundaries
Have the language owner confirm wording instead of treating an automatic shortening suggestion as a valid translation.
Clear coverage limits
Check additional locales through your localization process rather than assuming one capture represents every language.
Name the locale and affected state
Translated text can expose layout assumptions that short source-language labels do not. Identify the locale, viewport, build, and UI state before capture. Use representative safe content. Confirm the approved translation with the language owner instead of assuming that a visually awkward label is linguistically incorrect or that shortening it is automatically acceptable.
Capture the complete text context
Use a screenshot that includes the affected label, neighboring controls, and enough page context to locate the problem. A recording helps when expansion or validation changes the layout. Review the supported media in Retick and check the proposed findings against the screen. Add locale details manually. Correct any issue that invents a translation error when the evidence only shows clipping or overlap.
Approve a layout outcome
A focused issue might require the approved confirmation text to remain readable without covering the action buttons. Have design and localization owners agree on acceptable wrapping and any wording changes. Keep a request for additional supported languages separate from the repair. Review selected findings before a Trello export or downloaded-file handoff to engineering.
Verify relevant variants directly
After implementation, inspect the reported locale and other text-length or direction conditions your product requires. Use qualified language review for wording, and dedicated tests for date, number, and plural behavior. Retick does not translate the application, certify linguistic accuracy, or test every locale automatically. The media review supports a visible layout report while localization correctness and coverage remain with your established process.
Review the localized state that exposes the layout issue
Keep the approved text and display conditions visible.
